Why Addressing Home Repair Items Quickly Can Save You Thousands
Why tackling that much-needed home repair project now may save you thousands of dollars in the future. The thought of renovating or upgrading your home can be exciting. Planning a new bathroom or kitchen remodel may be at the top of your priority list but what about home repairs? Home repairs are those pesky maintenance items that keep your home in good working order. Home repairs are not usually high on the priority list because let’s face it, who wants to spend money on home repairs? Spending your hard-earned money on those not so glamorous home repairs can be difficult but addressing them quickly can save you thousands of dollars. As the old saying goes “a stitch in time saves nine” in this case “a nail in time saves nine”. Your home has many moving parts and requires routine maintenance to preserve its value and appearance. Just recently, my company completed a major repair project that could have been completely avoided by addressing the issue quickly. Water began leaking from a second-floor window down the inside of the wall. The property owner noticed the leak when it rained but delayed addressing the issue for many months. Finally, when the area was so bad, he called us. We were able to complete the repairs for him but I certainly wish he had called us sooner. Water had completely destroyed the framing under the window and all the way down to the first floor. Termites had found a way in and created significant damage as well. Unfortunately, this is one of many examples where delaying taking action leads to significant damage.
What if I Don’t Have The Money To Complete The Repairs
